San Sebastián Río Hondo is a town and municipality in Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. The municipality covers an area of km². It is part of the Miahuatlán District in the south of the Sierra Sur Region.

LOCALIZATION "Miahuatlán bordered to the north of Porfirio Diaz, San Andres and San Pedro Paxtlan Mixtepec, south to San Mateo Rio Hondo and Santa Maria Ozolotepec, west to San Andres and San Mateo Paxtlan Rio Hondo, and east to Santa Maria and Sao Ozolotepec Ozolotepec Sunday."

HISTORY "Its first inhabitants migrated from Santa Maria Ozolotepec to settle in San Mateo Rio Hondo, then moved to the place that now occupy and where they settled in 1872, after a stay of nine years. This was what counted in 1833 and to the researcher Martínez Gracida, when the authorities of this town were required to report their memories before the district authorities."
